A seasonal visitor to Nantucket for 10 years, Linda Sonnonstine Spery became a year-round resident after living in Southern California for 30 years, where she was a public relations and marketing executive. She relocated to Nantucket in November 2006 and has since enjoyed life on the island with her husband, Craig Spery. She currently serves as president of the board of the Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) and president of the board of the Nantucket Unitarian Universalist Meeting House. She also serves as a member of the Cultural Council and is the development director for the Nantucket Land Council. Before joining the staff of the Nantucket Land Council, she was development director for the Nantucket Arts Council and the Maria Mitchell Association.
