Details: Esther's Island is a temporary island that is infrequently detached from Nantucket depending on the severity of ocean storms that can plow through the connecting beach between Esther's and Nantucket from time to time. Currently, it's part of Nantucket's western most extremity, Smith's Point. The house is the product of Nantucket realtor Alan Worden's complete renovation of the original structure, making it into an upscale summer "cottage" built as environmentally sustainable as possible. The cottage has its own power supply from photo voltaic solar panels and a small wind turbine. Aside from the house its premium location for solitude away from the summer hordes with indescribably beautiful views in all directions of the ocean, Madaket Harbor, Nantucket Sound and Tuckernuck Island.
