2017 Science Pub Series
A new location with a fantastic lineup of science!
Do you like science? How about beer? Hear about hot topics in science and nature from local experts in a fun, informal atmosphere. Monday, January 9th, 6pm-8pm, the first installment in our 2017 Nantucket Science Pub hosted by The Linda Loring Nature Foundation (LLNF). Seth Engelbourg, LLNF Naturalist Educator and Program Manager, will give a talk titled: The Sky’s the Limit; Environmental Applications of Drone Mapping. This talk will present the benefits of using drones for natural resource management, highlight results from recent drone mapping surveys on Nantucket, and present additional ways that drones may aid environmental conservation on island in the future. This year, Science Pub will be at the Nantucket Culinary Center featuring the delicious concoctions of Chef Greg Margolis and staff.
