Freaky Friday - Casual Encounters at Atlas Nantucket

Event Information
Special Fall Dinner Menu

Freaky Friday - Every Friday a new post dealing with love, relationships, dating...and anything else the human soul may need answered.

We made it through the summer and if you’re like me, you’re loving fall.  What better way to celebrate the richness and flavor of fall than a local dinner with local libations?  Well, Atlas is hosting a special dinner just for that occasion on Saturday, November 12th. This dinner sure is going to be a wild one, enough so to make you happy it’s November and not July.  A cozy fire, flavorful food and cocktails to make you think you’re drinking a work of art...that's why I felt called to tell the Freaky Friday readers about it. It's going to be a night to remember...or not, depending how far you want to go. Atlas will be cooking up the perfect pairing to eat and drink with David, one of my new favorite bartenders who whirls up cocktails like something out of Dr. Seuss...that is if the characters from his stories partook in adult beverages. He has a passion for balance in how he concocts his drinks. He infuses, adds a dash of something special here and there and tops it all off with a bit of magic. I rarely venture away from my bubbles but he has changed my mind on many a cocktail. I'm excited for those who will be at the dinner and see the pairings he comes up with to compliment what I know are always pleasing dishes Chef Brandt whips up.  I have to say the last dinner I went to in the spring, each bite, course after course, felt like I was tasting magic. No doubt, many of this Saturday events, drinks and dishes will most likely be keeping you warm the rest of fall and into the winter months. I know these dinners book up fast.  This particular dinner is special.  Even if you don’t know or have someone to go with but you want to attend you should!  There will be a communal table for those that want to meet other like minded foodies…Maybe even meet someone you’ve never met before.  It still can happen on Nantucket in November.  In fact, fall/winter is usually when I have met people I have never met before.

Follow all of this up with the ACKtivators, a live band trio to make sure you don't want to leave the dance floor!  If you’re with friends, a date or flying solo be sure to check out this event. You’ll have a great night out!

If you're interested in more information, click here for the Facebook event or to book your ticket or call Atlas's, 508-825-5495.  Make sure to check out their website HERE.

You don't need to go to the dinner to dance. Once the dinner is done, others will be welcomed to shake their tail feathers.

Enjoy one of the last Saturday nights out before many islanders head into hibernation.  Good food, good drinks, good company and dancing the night away..it makes for some of the best evenings.

Peace, Love and Hugs!
