Details: Built in 1804 and known as the Rescom Tabor House, 45 India St. contained a candy store in the 1930s and 1940s, according to the Nantucket Historical Association. Most recently, from 1988 until this summer, this antique-style house with a chimney going through and servicing its two stories, was owned by Morton and Reva Schlesinger, two dedicated Nantucket citizens who put their hearts and souls into this year-round community. The house is located in the Old Historic District at the top of India Street at its western end, walking distance from Black-Eyed Susan's down India Street, the Nantucket Islands Land Bank's Lily Pond property and the downtown area in general.
