Where to eat during Nantucket Restaurant Week?
Share the scoop!
Only four more nights of Restaurant Week and I say make the most of it! What a gift this is to the residents and visitors of Nantucket to be able to enjoy the world class dinnig of our many great restaurants at very generous discounts. The standard deal is a 3 course menu for $45, but varies from place to place.
Last night, I ate at VENTUNO, where you could order anything from the regular menu. They offer 3-courses, with a choice of appetizer or pasta, entree, and dessert or side dish for $45. Of course, we ordered even more, because the choices were just too many and too tempting. Highlights were the fried olives, spicy strozzapretti pasta, the brined organic chicken (so crispy & juicy) and the bomboloncini (chocolate doughnut-ish) dessert. As always, Tanya will recommend terrific value wines or help choose a splurge.
Other restaurants offering their full menu (as opposed to a separate restaurant week menu) include BLACKEYED SUSAN'S, TOWN, QUEEQUEGS, STRAIGHT WHARF...
Here are several links to help you choose your next four dinners. Be sure to note the Boarding House "Tribute to Thomas Keller" menu ($65).
